My two dogs make me smile every day, but recently, I learned something new about them that tickled me.

While preparing to tackle a large amount of dirty dishes in the kitchen, I selected the “Mary Poppins” movie soundtrack to put an extra spark in my work. As I turned my head to check on the dogs, since they were hanging out with me in the kitchen, I noticed that they decided to lie down and their eyes were increasingly getting heavy. The music was calming them.

In turn, I chose another Disney soundtrack, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which sealed the deal to my delight; I caught our dogs, Spirit and Marcky in a deep sleep. It relaxed me to see them peacefully sleeping. When they woke up from their nap, I took a photo of them still with dreamy eyes.

In the future, I will remember what music to play when wanting to help the dogs rest. Mary Poppins singing, “Stay awake, don’t nod and dream” caused the two children in the Disney film to drift to sleep, as well as Spirit and Marcky.
