We saw it, the two of us, driving down James Road and approaching the intersection: a sunset, a red barn, a yellow road sign. The twilight sweeping in from the east; The pink light fading in the west.

“That’s awesome,” my son said.

“It is,” I said.

Our eyes traveled across the landscape: the arrangement, the many focal points. A perfect moment and we saw it, we shared it, the two of us.
