Snowflakes fell all night. When I opened my blinds in the morning I was greeted by a marshmallow version of my usual view. The white glistening snow brightened my dark bedroom. Pine trees were weighed down by a blanket of snow — a picture straight from a snow globe.

Contrary to many Ohioans, I love when it snows. It gives the cold a purpose. Snow means sledding and skiing, or a beautiful view when you stay cozy inside. Much better than a brown-and-gray outside with harsh, cold air.

Sliding down a snow covered hill on skis gave me a rush similar to when I was sledding as a kid. I couldn’t just stay out of the fluffy snow. I had to go outside and enjoy it before it all melted away.
